Less is more.... Especially when it comes to permanent makeup.

You can always add more! Whether its salt or brows. Working as a professional makeup artist for many years before I entered into the cosmetic tattooing field gave me a good head start on my own personal approach to PMU or permanent makeup. I am usually a more is more type of lady in certain respects. I love big hair and even alot of fancy and flourish when it is the right moment! But in general especially as I get older I do prefer a minimal approach to beauty, makeup and most importantly PMU. Like most of my clients on a day to day basis I like clean fresh looking skin and a more natural approach to makeup. Not that I don't enjoy color or drama but I am more specific on when and how I use it. When it comes to PMU however I am always a proponant of a less is best approach. PMU is such a lifesaver and life changer for my clients. I am always amazed at how much it can transform not only our features but also the daily routines and rituals we use. The most important thing I try to impress on my clients during a consultation as well as their first session is that PMU is a process. Its very different from getting a haircut or your nails done. It is even a different process than a tradtional body tattooing. The actual goal we are trying to acheive is different.

We are working on a living breath canvas. Your healed results can vary greatly from person to person depending on the type of skin you have, your ethnic background, medications, diet, medical history, lifestyle etc. Because of this natural varation we won't know exactly how you are going to heal until you ARE healed. I can give a good estimatation on what to expect with my own expertise and understanding but no matter what there is always a variation in some people. That is precisely why I work the way I do. Each artist has a different method, training and preference so no judgement on how others get to their goals. Personally for me and my clients our top priority is usually to get to the optimal amount of color and definition without going past it.

This means we can take our time! Giving ourselves options. We can go with a softer more conservative approach during your first session. Some people will retain thier color really well others not so much. The color will change as your skin heals, how much? Maybe you aren't 100% sure how big or dark you want to go. Taking our time gives you options. We can then dial into the exact finished result we want as we go.

Speaking of time. We have a lot of it on our hands these days. I did so well at the beginning of this lockdown with my routines but its not easy to stay the course. My work gave me so much joy and a healthy routine. I understand life has changed for all of us, I for one am grateful for our constitution and believe in humanity to overcome these times. I hope to see you all soon. Sending LOVE into the universe.
